Before you add the images you should take care to see that:
- they are good, clean images;
- that they are properly cropped;
- and are of a standard web resolution of 72 pixels per inch.
You may need to preprocess your images in your favorite image editor. Do not simply link to images in your former site. That site will eventually be removed and your pictures with it. Additionally, only images with file extensions jpg and gif can be uploaded (jpeg extensions are not allowed).
Here are the steps necessary to add an image.
-
Open the editor by clicking on the editing icon.
-
Place your cursor where you want the image to display.
-
Look on the toolbar. You will see a series of links as shown below:

Click on the Image link.
An insert image dialog window will display as shown below
-
We must first upload the image from your computer's hard drive.
Using the large scroll bar to the right, scroll down until you see the “Upload File” section near the bottom of the screen
Click on the “Browse” button. This will open a dialog box showing a directory on your computer hard drive. Navigate to the directory where the file you want to upload resides. Highlight the file name and click “Open.” The directory dialog will close and you should see your file name in the box to the right of the “Browse” button. Click “Start Upload.” -
When the upload is completed scroll back up to the top part of the window using the large scroll bar. You will see a message that your file has been uploaded.
Then find the file you just uploaded by using the small scroll bar to scroll the image list on the left. Click on the name of the image you want to add.
- When you return to the editor, you can see that the image has been placed to the right of the text.
-
Click “Save” on the editor to return to the web page. You will see that the image has been added.
